In Altona this year Bourke filled in 30” rows, but it would not be considered a big bushy variety.
MATURITY
Bourke R2X is a couple days later than Mahony R2 and Young R2X.
Hart R2X

Hart R2X has a 2.0 or Semi Tolerant rating to IDC.
PRR
Hart R2X has the rps1c gene for Phytophthora resistance. It is a good idea to rotate the genes through fields to avoid resistant populations from building up.
HEIGHT
Hart R2X is a medium tall plant. Taller than Mahony R2, but shorter than Bourke R2X.
WIDTH
Hart R2X is a variety that branches out.
MATURITY
Barker R2X

IDC
Barker R2X has a semi-tolerant or 1.8 rating for IDC.
PRR
Barker R2X has the Rps1k resistance gene and has shown excellent field tolerance.
HEIGHT
Barker R2X is a big tall bushy plant.
MATURITY
Barker R2X is rated as a 2450 HU variety, but it comes in a little more like 2475. It has been a great variety in the Lowe Farm, Carman, Portage la Prairie area.
